Meet Eenox Bull: Rust-Proof Ceramic Skate Bearings with SP Series Stainless Steel Rings

Built for the Harshest Rides

At Eenox, we know riders don’t stop just because the weather turns. Rain, puddles, salt water on the coast—your gear takes a beating. That’s why we set out to build a next-gen stainless steel bearing that could actually handle the elements without rusting out.

After years of research and testing, we’re proud to introduce the Eenox Bull product line, featuring our advanced SP Series rings paired with high-performance ceramic balls. These bearings are specifically designed to dominate in humid, wet, or salty environments—without compromising on speed or durability.

The Problem: Rust Never Sleeps

Most stainless bearings, including those made from 440C, rust faster than you'd think, especially near beaches (salt water) or during wet-weather conditions. Standard materials break down under repeated exposure to moisture, leading to corrosion, grinding, and early failure. That’s a no-go for serious riders.

The Breakthrough: Surface-Hardened Steel with Nitrogen Diffusion

Our SP Series bearings undergo a proprietary low‐temperature plasma-nitriding cycle that infuses nitrogen into the steel’s surface. That might sound like science class, but here’s the deal: rather than forming chromium-carbide precipitates (like in 440C), this process produces a uniform dispersion of chromium nitrides just below the surface.

This innovative approach not only enhances wear resistance but also provides unparalleled corrosion resistance, making these bearings tough enough to tackle the harshest conditions. Plasma-nitriding works by altering the microstructure of the steel's surface to create a harder, more durable outer layer, while maintaining a flexible inner core to absorb impacts without cracking.

Strength Where You Need It

The SP Series rings feature a smart hardness gradient: rock-hard on the outside for wear resistance, gradually softer on the inside for impact absorption. Translation? They stay fast and strong under pressure but can still take a hit.

We measured the hardness from the surface to the core, and the results speak for themselves:

Surface hardness: ~737 HV1 (Significantly harder than 440C, increasing bearing life)
Core hardness: ~643 HV1 (Absorbs heavy shock without fracturing)
Smooth transition zone: Prevents cracking or breakage under stress

Real-World Salt Spray Test

We didn’t just run lab tests—we hit these bearings with one of the harshest corrosion challenges out there: the ISO 9227 salt spray test. We compared the SP Series rings to standard 440C bearings in a brutal 5% salt fog environment for 120 hours straight.

Result:

SP Series: Zero corrosion
440C: Covered in rust

Ceramic Balls: Faster, Smoother, and More Durable

The Eenox Bull bearings also feature advanced silicon nitride (Si₃N₄) ceramic balls, delivering multiple benefits:

Outstanding corrosion resistance: Ceramic balls never rust, even in extreme conditions.
Lower friction & higher speeds: Reduced rolling resistance means faster, smoother skating.
Improved thermal stability: Ceramic dissipates heat effectively, maintaining performance during intense sessions.
Longer-lasting durability: Lightweight yet incredibly durable, ceramic balls extend bearing life significantly.

Bottom Line: Bearings That Never Rust, Ride Longer, and Roll Faster

The Eenox Bull bearings, powered by SP Series technology and ceramic balls, are our ultimate solution for skaters riding in real-world conditions—rain, salt, or shine. Ideal for skaters who need:

All-weather reliability
Long-lasting performance
Low maintenance

Whether you're riding in the rain or skating near the coast, Eenox Bull bearings deliver smooth, reliable performance where standard bearings tend to rust or seize.
